Road home

Jody and I had the opportunity to attend a workshop in Oregon this past october. When I first registered back in April(?) we both thought we should drive. What a gorgeous drive it would be, and it gives us the opportunity to pretend we get to do this all the time. You see, we dream of owning a vw van and be on the road constantly. Well, this roadtrip gave us a taste of what it could be. It was also ALOT longer then we thought it would be. We assumed around the 9/10hr mark, but it ended up taking us 12..12! Doesn't seem like a huge difference but when your sitting in that little car for 10 hours thinking your going to get there at any time, 2 extra hours is a long time.

Forever and a day

Oh hey...still alive over here, just outrageous amounts of busy. In the past month we have been on two roadtrips, shot numerous weddings and MOVED! I could not be more excited. Ill share more into the new space a little later..when boxes are unpacked. Thought Id share a few recent instagram photos. First one, I woke up Jody (and Lumin) extra early to watch the sunrise for the last time at our old place. Jody really loved the scenic views of the old place, so I thought it only fitting to go enjoy the views one last time. Second photo is the condo as we left..so tiny! right? How did 2 people, a dog and a cat do it? Ill never be sure. last photo is Lumin enjoying the new views of our downtown home. Im in love with all the character our new place offers. Old wood floors, huge glass windows, chipped paint, and creaky floors. Its a dream.

1.parking lot magic hour 2.Lucy turned 2 this weekend, Jody helped her test out her new rain boots 3. My mom went through her 10th (and hopefully last) surgery this week since being diagnosed with breast cancer-still smiling. 4. It took two years but Lucy finally loves Jody (or atleast lets him pick her up!) 5. "Where's Neela?"..."Check the bathtub". 6. New cat proof house plant (no chewing!) 7. Summer florals.

1. I had been looking high and low for a coffee table small enough to fit in our little space. Found it-thrifted $5. 2. Fresh juiced fruits&veggies to start our morning (it was delicious even though it looks like sludge.) 3. Homemade pizza's are our go to quick meal these days, so easy to make them "vegan friendly" for me. 4. making enough homemade goodies to last us the week 5. New bikes-to us. We both picked up vintage 10 speed bikes for commuting. 6. My new ring. Jody surprised me with another band to my antique set for our 1 year, they are all early 1920's. 7. Anniversary shenanigans

Pinch me, I must be dreaming

To my Jody-my love, my friend, my constant. This year has been full of such wonderful memories- We have moved into our first home together, moved out of our first home together, adopted a fur child, bickered over the little things(such as,why do you need this many records!), explored hawaii and cuba, started a company together(no small task), bought a grown up couch that is far too big, watched the entire series of lost in 2 weeks, explored Kelowna by bicycle, taken way too many photos, gotten snobbier more specific over the coffee we drink, thrifted many a treasures,  and  I know this is only the beginning of our life of adventure together.
You have a generous and caring heart, a strange sense of humor, a love for God,and a bad ass appearance (don't be fooled). I love you x10000. Here's to many more  years, my love. Jody surprised me with another edit of our wedding film-all our super 8 film footage. AND the other band to my mismatched antique rings.I love my unique set. yes!
